Gates of Vienna News Feed 10/17/2010

Gates of Vienna News Feed 10/17/2010A Christian woman in Northern Ireland recently purchased some lamb at a Tesco supermarket. When she learned that all of Tesco’s New Zealand lamb was halal, she took hers back and demanded a refund. The store at first refused, saying they could only refund money in cases where there is a problem with quality. The woman retorted, “You wouldn’t treat me this way if I were a Muslim.” Tesco — perhaps realizing their liability in the event of a religious discrimination lawsuit — reluctantly refunded her money.

In other news, Barack Obama’s Kenyan half-brother Malik — who already has two wives — has married a teenage girl who is more than thirty years his junior.
